The Integrative Medicine Fellowship

The Institute for Family Health, in affiliation with the Continuum’s Center for Health and Healing, is pleased to offer The Academic Integrative Medicine Fellowship, a one-year fellowship. This fellowship offers an opportunity to learn Integrative Medicine skills in an underserved setting, while also developing skills in academic medicine.

The Institute for Family Health is the administering organization for the Beth Israel Residency in Urban Family Medicine, a leader in Integrative Medicine education. This collaboration allows the fellow to practice integrative medicine in an underserved community health care center at the Institute for Family Health.

The Integrative Medicine experience occurs both in the primary care and consultative contexts. Academic opportunities include mentorship in precepting residents, teaching medical students, and collaboration in residency curriculum initiatives. Involvement in research projects is also available. Didactics and case conferences occur weekly at the Center for Health and Healing. There are also 200 hours of online curriculum available, designed in conjunction with the University of Arizona’s Program in Integrative Medicine. The fellow also has opportunity during the fellowship to learn a specific skill set, such as acupuncture, homeopathy, or hypnosis.

The Fellowship is co-directed by Dr. Raymond Teets and Dr. Ben Kligler. Any further questions may be directed to Dr. Teets at rteets@institute2000.org.
